Tool Rule Birthday Card - Fun Stampers Journey Products

I needed two masculine birthday cards this month.   Tools Rule Stamp & Die Sets are perfect for these types of cards.   This bundle can be used for so many types of cards:   Birthday, anniversary, thank you, thinking of you, and more.  Whether you use our Color Splash or Color Burst pencils, the stamped images are distinct and easy to color in.    I used the Color Splash (watercolor) pencils on each image and propped them up on the card with foam squares.   Isn't our Brush 01Silver Card Stock perfect for the embossed background.  It reminded me of a tool box when I choose it.   I lightly inked the TOOLS RULE sentiment to accent it just a bit more.   I forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card, but it had the tool belt stamped image that I fussy cut out.

Pocket Pup Was The Perfect Addition For This Get Well Card - Fun Stampers Journey Products

The other night I wanted to make a Get Well card for a young man.   His favorite color is red so I used the color as my starting point.

Card base is Candy Apple card stock.   Then I layered on a red/white/blue print I made on my Gel Press.  The cute little puppy was stamped on Whip Cream Card Stock and then colored in using Journey Color Burst Pencils.  

I couldn't help but smile when I added the Wiggle Eyes to the puppy's face.  I think they really added to the look of the card, don't you agree!

Hit the Road Stamp Set From Fun Stampers Journey

A bit of nostalgia with the Hit the Road Stamp Set that features a vintage truck and Route 66 items including a road map of Route 66.  I accented the chrome areas with the Journey Silver Pigment Marker.  Truck was done in watercolor using our Journey Color Splash pencils.

Did you notice the paper piercing ... that is done with the Journey Rectangle Die Set.   Not only can you cut rectangle with it, but you will receive Element Dies in the set that do the paper piercing for you.   Love the effect it gives.   Angles the piercing and the truck.

Fun Stampers Journey Geo Burst Die - Day 1 of 3

The Geo Burst Die from Fun Stampers Journey is very versatile.  Over the next three days I would like to share with your some of the cards I have made with it.

 

(2 piece die set)

This die cuts the perfect front for an A2 size card.

A2 cards are 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

  

Take a card base, score it, and then place the floral part 

of the die on the front part.

This shows the beautiful design with no backing to i.

Same card as the one before, EXCEPT, that I added in

a piece of black licorice card stock to make the card pop. 

Card backing was attached using Craft Glue

Using the Star-Dom Die Set, I cut out a star.

Behind the star I used Sparkle Trim to accent the card.

There is still room on the front of the card to add in a sentiment or it can be placed inside of the card too.

I laid the Sparkle Trim down on the card front.  Then attached Journey Foam Squares to the back of the star in numerous places as these need to hold the Sparkle Trim in place too.   I always add a drop or two of the Journey Glace to the end pieces of the Sparkle Trim.   It helps to keep the sequins in place.

Hip Hip AT Stamp and Die From Fun Stampers Journey

Always nice to have a stamp (or stamp set) that has a matching die(s).   The Hip Hip Artist Trading Stamp (ATS) is brand new this month along with its matching Hip Hip Die.

Pop Love Die Creates Pop Up Insert for Greeting Card

In the new 2016 - 2017 Fun Stampers Journey Inspiration Book & Catalog, be sure to look on Pg 252 for two new pop up dies.   One is a Christmas tree called Tree Pop DI-0213 and the one I will showcase here today that is called Pop Love DI-0212.

Die is 5" x 8" and cuts the perfect insert for the inside of an A2 card (5 1/2 x 4 1/2")

(NOTE:  The die actually looks this way. The photo is NOT backwards.)

The front of this card was shown yesterday (2 hearts on the front).   Here's the inside using the Pop Love Die.

The red piece of card stock (the card insert) is what the die cut.   The "I heart U" is cut also with the die and includes scoring lines for easy folding.  Do the folds first, then attach the insert to your card base.  It will fold flat.  I added the heart die cut (Decorative Hearts DI-0218) to the inside as an extra embellishment.

Remember when doing your folds to go slowly and think of how the card will fold up.   The side view below should help with the folding too.   Very Important to do the folding BEFORE you attach this to the card base.

May your day be blessed with many wonderful surprises.

Couldn't let Father's Day go by without posting a card for all of the dads.   So many special memories of my dad, and what a great father he was.   We weren't perfect kids I know, but he was always there for us doing whatever he could to help.  We always knew how much we were loved by both of our parents. 

This card has a sneak peek too of a brand new stamp set that will be premiere on July 1, 2016 on my Fun Stampers Journey website.   The set is called:  Adventure Awaits  SS-0334 (has 11 stamps in the set).   Three of the stamps are sentiments, then a kayak, a kayak paddle, boots, life jacket, backpack, axe, and binoculars.  Perfect for many occasions and a stamp set that can be used for both male and female.   I was able to purchase this in a bundle at convention last week.   Know that it will be a very popular stamp set.
