Today I am sharing a step by step tutorial showcasing Fun Stampers Journey Pan Pastels over an embossed background.    The background was created with FSJ embossing folders.

The cards could be used as Thank You cards or even for Thanksgiving.   The background technique could be used with any embossing folder.   I used whip cream card stock (FSJ), but try it on different colors to see how it changes the look.

Artful Butterfly Joins with Lots of Dots to Create this Beautiful Card - Fun Stampers Journey Products

This card started out as two string art pulls/designs that I made the other.   The more I played with the designs, I knew I wanted to do something different.   The first pull I cut with the Lots of Dots Die Set and the other (which is a reverse image) I decided to fussy cut and layer.   Brushed Silver Card Stock along with Silver Washi Tape added some shine.   The butterfly is two layers, glue at the center of the butterfly and the top wings rolled up a bit.

Everyday Tags Die Set is Retiring May 1 - Fun Stampers Journey Products

I cut out one of each of the dies using Banana Cream Card stock.   Then accented with FSJ different types/styles of Washi Tape and embellishments.   You can write the person's name on the front or the back of the tags.   Choice is yours.  Add a thread or thin ribbon to the top of the tag if you would like.

The left and right boots are adhered with foam squares to give depth and dimension to the card.  I used the Journey Color Burst Pencils to color the designs in.

Stay Wild ATS Birthday Card - Fun Stampers Journey Products

Stay Wild Stamp Set AT-0207 was used to create this birthday card.   Back in August I did a video showing how to create this image.  CLICK HERE to VIEW.

Did you notice the polka dots that framed the design?   It is made with washi tape.  It is called Classic Elegance Journey Tape AC-0291.  It is sold in a pack of 3 (each a different style and size and 10 yards in each roll).

Journey Tape/Washi Tape is such a versatile product.  It can be torn by hand or cut with scissors.  It can be used as a small piece accent, used as a frame (like above) or to cover a complete surface.   There are so many choices in our catalog ... pages 246 through 247 of our main catalog show most of our products in the Journey Tape line.

Golden Birthday Card - Tone on Tone - Fun Stampers Journey Products

A dear friend's daughter celebrated her "Golden Birthday" yesterday.   I honestly had no idea what a Golden Birthday was, so looked it up.   It is when your age is the same as your birth date.   Mia turned 8 on January 8th so this was her Golden Birthday.

I knew I had to make a card perfect for the occasion, and thought I should try tone on tone with shades of gold.   We have brushed gold and gold mirror papers along with gold washi tape.   I got all my supplies out and let the creating begin.  

Here's is my finished card for Mia:

The brushed gold was used for the card base and background.   I cut the oval out and used the oval die element to give it the paper piercing effect.     Added in the gold design washi tape, and then added in the die cut flowers and leaves.  

I was so pleased with the results.   Wouldn't this be perfect for a golden wedding anniversary card too?   If you needed one for the silver anniversary, don't forget we have brushed silver & silver mirror paper along with silver washi tape too.
