The other day I got inspired and had to try out this new (to me) craft of making storage/craft bags using plastic bags and Duck Tape / Duct Tape. Because I know the quality of the Duck Tape Brand, this is the brand I choose for this project.
Making these craft bags was so much easier with the help of these products from Fun Stampers Journey (FSJ):

I tried both the press/seal and the slider type closers for the bag. My preference is the slider style. I just feel it will be more durable in the long run. The photo above is all the ones I made Saturday.

These would make great gift items or even could be used as a gift bag. The bags come in so many different sizes from snack to trash bag size (if you wanted a super big project to work on). For me, the quart bags were a great size to work with. The tape lengths for this size was easy to handle too. For me, the slider type closer would be the one I would choose when making bags. I just feel it closes easier and you can tell right away if the bag is sealed or not.
These could be used for pencils, pens, craft items, cosmetics, travel size items, and so much more.

I am having so much fun today playing with the Basics Piercing Template, Journey Piercing Mat, and the Bloom Tool. After creating my own envelopes I decided I wanted to add some creative design to them using the template. Here are some of the envelopes I created.
For the envelope above, I outlined the edge and added in a heart.
This envelope I added in cured lines from side to side.
The template is not just for envelopes. It can be used on any card stock. Be sure to use the piercing mat underneath (mat, card stock, template) to protect your work surface from the sharp point of the Bloom Tool. Here are some additional samples I made. They would be great for scrapbook pages too.
Here is a photo of the template showing all the designs that are on it. Template is 12" x 12" and is a flexible frosted plastic.
There is even a piercing edge for the complete area around a 12" x 12" piece of paper. Perfect for a scrapbook page.

The Mystic Fern Die Set DI-0361 (set of 1 die) is brand new this month to my collection of dies. Such a beautiful and good size fern. I used two of them for this card. It's on Page 18 of the 2017-2018 Fun Stampers Journey Inspiration Book and Catalog.

I have used the Press Punch and Cutting Mat for quite a while now. It is easy to use and allows me to punch anywhere on the card stock that I want. Imagine being able to punch a hole in the very center of a 12" x 12" scrapbook page.
