I stamped the image with our Licorice Ink Pad, then colored it in with our Journey Color Burst Pencils. I accented the design with our Just Write Gel Pens.
I am hoping that you can see the gel pen accents ... the pens really add some shimmer/shine to the design and help to make it pop.

I've been busy creating gifts the last week or so. And in the process made a couple shirts for myself too. Iron on vinyl is a fun way to refresh shirts/tees/jackets you might have in your closet. Be sure though if you use a regular iron, that you place your shirt etc on a very hard surface and put an ironing sheet over the surface and a teflon sheet between the design and the iron. Press on both sides to ensure the design is fully attached. Santa brought me the Cricut Easy Press this year (let me have it early), so I have used that instead of an iron to create these shirts.

Will fit both the Amaze & the Platinum Machines
With a steel rule die, I didn't have to remove the heat transfer layer before cutting. I have used the Steel Rule dies for 3 types of iron-on .... Cricut Glitter Iron On, Cricut Lite-Iron On, and Siser Easy Weed. If I am going to use the vinyl with our paper punches I remove the heat transfer layer before cutting. NOTE: Not all vinyl will easily cut with the thin metal dies. For them I do remove the heat transfer layer too before cutting.

Hubby was thrilled with his shirt.
This shirt I created the text in SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) then saved as a JPG to cut out on my Brother ScanNCut2. I have had my ScanNCut2 for a couple of years now, must admit it has received more use the last week than the last year. I find for my card making, it is really quicker and easier to just use my dies to cut things out.
NOTE: If you use TEXT with iron-on vinyl, remember you have to mirror the text before cutting it out.

My husband loves shirts, license plates that you have to think about what they say. So this shirt was perfect for him. It says: "Think outside the box." For this shirt, the text and box were created in SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) and saved as a SVG file. The box would of been easy to cut out with my Fun Stampers Journey Squares Die DI-0038 Set of 10 as long as I removed the clear heat transfer paper before cutting.

Weaving some beautiful Fun Stampers Journey Satin Ribbons together help create this beautiful background for this Easter card. Next time I will cut the backing (piece I did the weaving over) down just a bit more. White Liner Tape was a HUGE help in securing the ends of the ribbons to the back of the backing piece of card stock. Also used the White Liner Tape to secure the stamped images to the ribbon. I originally was going to use Journey Foam Squares, but with the ribbon and the foam squares I feel it would of been too thick to go regular mail. I try to keep my cards less than 1/4" thick so that they only need one stamp to mail.
Fun Stampers Journey Just Write Gels pens were the perfect accent for the flowers, basket, and sentiment. It added some sparkle (they are metallic/shiny) to my card. Just remember that the gel pens needs a minute or two to dry otherwise they can smear.

A little more experimenting today with the Just Write Gels Pens from the new Be The Journey Trends Mini Catalog from Fun Stampers Journey. So much could be added to this card too, like sequins, SILKS, ribbon and more. The sky is the limit.
Sometimes I make up card fronts like this, and then later when needed fussy cut the images out and create a brand new card with them. Either way have fun being creative and seeing what new designs I can come up with to share with all of you.

The top and bottom flowers were each highlighted with different colors of the Just Write Gels pens. Top is more lavender, bottom one more pink. Just not showing up well in the photos.
I wish you could see the "glisten" to these pens. They really do look metallic and glisten as if filled with glitter.
This was an easy way to color in/highlight a stamped image.

These Just Write Gels are on Page 17 of the Be the Journey Trends Mini Catalog that is valid from 1 October 2016 Through 31 December 2016. They are showcased in the Journey Days Planner Section of the catalog.
Product Information/Overview:
I received my set of Just Write Gels today. I was impressed with the clear hard plastic case. The case itself has 3 locking tabs to keep the pens secure at all times. Each pen clicks into place within the case. Each pen also has a locking cap to it (you can hear it click into place).
The tip of each pen is very fine point. The gel flows smoothly and without hesitation.
When the pens were mentioned on our Coach Connection Board (for Coaches only), one of the main questions was "Do they show up on dark card stock?". So I had to try them on our Black Licorice Card Stock right away. Here's the sample of what I did.
For the sample above, I opened the pen case (as shown in the first photo) and wrote the word Bloom starting with the first pen on the left. I used the pens in order and wrote the word going down the sheet of card stock.
There is a metallic look to each gel ... the photo doesn't show that. The words glisten as you move the card stock around.
Here is the same done on Whip Cream Card Stock from Fun Stampers Journey. The distinction of color really shows on the lighter card stock. However I do like the coverage on the Black Licorice Card Stock too.
NOTE: These are only sold as a set, not individually.
My Opinion:
I really like the pens, found them easy to use and like how well they do show up on dark card stock. I would recommend them. Good product, glad I purchased the set. Works well on both light and dark card stock, but will admit better color distinction on the lighter.
