Step By Step Video Tutorial - Glitter Background Without the Mess - Fun Stampers Journey Products (FSJ)

Clearview Sheets, white glue, liquid colors, and Sparkle Dust (glitter)

I can't wait to share with you today some fabulous backgrounds I create using FSJ (Fun Stampers Journey) Clearview Sheets, glue, liquid colors, reinkers, and silks then topped off with Sparkle Dust (glitter) and tissue paper.

The technique allows the glitter to be captured underneath the card so will not come off on your hands after the card is finished.   Great way to have the sparkle and shine without the "fallout" of glitter when the card is handled.   NOTE:   Even though the glitter is contained, this technique is NOT recommended for cards that are being mailed to our troops overseas.

Create-a-Palette and Liquid Colors - Fun Stampers Journey Products

I absolutely love Fun Stampers Journey products and our wide range of colors.   In our ink pads and reinkers, I have NEVER purchased the Lemon Drop or Limeade Splash ink pads or reinkers.   I am super scent sensitive and these two inks have a stronger odor to them than the rest of the colors.  For me, it is not worth taking a chance, so these two colors of ink pads are missing from my collection.  I have NOT had any issues with any of the other colors in the line.

I was so excited when Fun Stampers Journey introduced the Liquid Colors in July 2017.   These colors are water based whereas our regular colors are hybrids (a combination of dye and pigment inks).   The Liquid Colors have NO noticeable odor in the Lemon Drop and Limeade Splash!!!  In fact, I can't smell any odor in any of the Liquid Colors.

When the Liquid Colors were introduced, Fun Stampers Journey also introduced the Create-a-Palette.   It was originally meant for combining 5 colors in one ink pad to create some unique and beautiful designs.  I have a video and blog post on how to create using the 5 colors ... click here to view.

I started with my Liquid Color and the Create-a-Palette.   I covered in the whole pad and probably used about 1/4 to 1/3 of the bottle of liquid.

Here's the completed one using the Limeade Splash.

Here's both the Lemon Drop and the Limeade Splash ink pads I created using the Liquid Colors.  I am so pleased with the results.   Now I have a complete set of Fun Stampers Journey Ink Pads, just two of them were created with Liquid Colors!!

Did you notice that the images in the last photo are a "sneak peek"?   These stamps are from a brand new stamp set that will be in the Bloom This Way Mini Catalog that will premiere in January 2018!!!   It is called:

What a beautiful stamp set.   I will share more about them next week.   This Saturday is the FSJ Presents Live Event and this was one of the stamp sets in our kits.   I love how the flowers in it shade themselves because of the design.

Summer Bouquet Steel Rule Die Flower Cards - 3 Samples - Fun Stampers Journey Products

Summer Bouquet Steel Rule Die Flower Creations - Fun Stampers Journey Products

Using the Fun Stampers Journey Create-a-Palette stamp pad and the Summer Bouquet Steel Rule Die I was able to easily create these beautiful flowers.

The flowers are approximately 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".   The printed/color areas were cut out from the Create-a-Palette sheets I made the other day.  The directions/video are HERE for the printed sheets.
I layered the different flowers by size, attached them with a colorful brad, and then accented with Journey Glaze and Sparkle Silk.   These are perfect for cards, packages, and other decorative items.

The Summer Bouquet Steel Rule Die from Fun Stampers Journey is 8 1/2" x 11" and requires a larger platform machine to cut these out.   The Journey Platinum Machine is perfect for these larger steel rule dies.

Create-A-Palette Video Tutorial: Inking Palette and Creating With it - Fun Stampers Journey Products

Create-a-Palette Creations - Fun Stampers Journey Products

Create-a-Palette is a brand new product (July 1, 2017) for Fun Stampers Journey.  I saw it demonstrated at convention last month and purchased one for myself.   Here's what it looks like brand new:

It has 5 sections for you to add color to using either our True Color Fusion Re-Inkers OR Liquid Colors.  Do not mix types of inks on your palette .... either use ALL re-inkers or ALL Liquid Colors.

For my Create-a-Palette I used:

I used the Sweet Poppy Stamp Set AT-0266 Set of 2 stamps for the flowers below and inked them with my Create-a-Palette shown above.

Each flower comes out uniquely different when using this stamp pad.   I fussy cut each one out and will use them on a card soon.

You know how much I love backgrounds.   I took the Create-a-Palette, setting it in a corner of my card stock and then pulling it in a circular motion over the card stock.  Moved the palette around the card to create these backgrounds.   Created 4 in all.   Love how much they look like stained glass.  These were created with ONLY using the Create-a-Palette stamp pad.

Isn't this unique and different.   Can't wait to make them into cards.

I will do a video very soon to show you how to ink the palette, create the flowers, and the backgrounds shown above.
