Perfect Card For a New Home Owner - Humble & Kind and Little House Stamp Sets - Fun Stampers Journey
This is the time of the year that so many are moving into new homes. I decided to create a card to celebrate the occasion. The sentiment Home Sweet Home is from Humble & Kind Stamp Set. The Little House Stamp Set is a Bloom Benefit (choose one free Bloom Benefit for every $75 you spend before tax & shipping). Good Vibes Prints Printed Paper was used for the background.

Sending Sunshine Stamp Set and Tiny Dot Embossing Folder Create a Bright Friendship Card - Fun Stampers Journey Products
Fun Stampers Journey (FSJ) has so many matching products. I love that I can get ink pads, card stock, embellishments that all match. PLUS there are many more matching items (not in all colors) of PanPastels, color pencils, Liquid Colors and MORE!
Our FSJ Bubble Gum is one of my favorites. It is soft and beautiful in color. I was able to get card stock and ribbon that were a perfect match and then used Cottage Pearls that are a slightly deeper tone (Rustic Rose) to accent the card.
I did use PanPastels Confectionary Days to color Whip Cream Card Stock before I stamped the fun summery image from the Sending Sunshine Stamp Set.

PanPastels Used With All Stars Embossing Folder For This Card - Fun Stampers Journey Products

If you look closely you will see that after embossing the background with the All Stars Embossing Folder I lightly sponged sections of colors using our PanPastels. I used the Confectionary Days PanPastels JM-0079. Then splattered some Sparkle Silk over the background to add a bit of shine.

Liquid Colors Used for the Watercolor Effect on This Card - Fun Stampers Journey Products

Our dies cut beautifully through the Color Splash Watercolor Sheets using my die cutting machine. These were thin metal dies, so I wasn't sure if they would cut smoothly through the watercolor sheets. Not an issue at all. I had cut them out as a test, and then decided to watercolor them with our beautiful liquid colors mixed with some water. Allowed both die cuts to dry completely before attaching to the card base. The watercoloring was done in a random way on the pine cone and on the heart plate I just visualized lines/segments.

Vagabond Chips Used to Create a Centerpiece - Fun Stampers Journey Products
For this HUG in an envelope card, I used the hot air balloon and the geo pointer chip board pieces from the Vagabond Chips embellishments. They have been painted with Beach Ball and Bronze Silks. The background of the cards is splattered with 4 different colors of Silks too (listed below).
The chipboard pieces have been glued down to the die cut circle pieces then layered on the Doily Die Cute (vellum). The very center of this is a Vagabutton.
So much sparkle and shine on this card - the photo doesn't do it justice.

Too Cute! Stamp Set SS-0047, Bloom Stars embellishments AC-0287 are set to retire from the Fun Stampers Journey Product Line. They will go on sale as of May 1 and there are limited quantities, so only available while supplies last!
I love these products and will be sad to see them go. The little girls in the stamps set just bring smiles to my day. A little bit of Journey Glaze over the eye glasses, make them appear to be real.
Did you noted the beautiful pink ombre' on the cut piece of printed paper? It is the back side of the floral piece. LOVE this paper. I have used it a great deal for my samples this week. Spring Filled Prints PP-0051 was in our Bloom This Way Catalog and no longer available. When I was doing my samples this week, I was thinking it was in our main catalog and set to retire. I know many of your purchased it last quarter.
The background could easily be created with any printed paper or by creating your own with stamped designs.

Inside & Out Stamp Set - Hats Off Die Set - Star-Dom Die Set AND FSJ Silks are on Sale
Yesterday I was inspired to create a graduation card. Seems impossible that June is just around the corner and that means graduation for many is just around the corner too. You still have time to order supplies needed for graduation cards especially our wonderful new Hats Off Die DI-0441 that creates the graduation cap and tassel shown in the card below.
I wanted a card that was unique and had the feeling of celebration. I chose a bright card base color (Beach Breeze) then accented with Brushed Silver, Black Licorice, and Lemon Drop. The background of the card base was splattered with SEVEN (7) different colors of our Silks. I love the look of sparkle to it and the look of confetti falling.

The small faux leather stars are a Bloom Benefit called Bloom Stars. It is in our main catalog and is one of the free option for a $50 order. The stars were a perfect fit for the stars I die cut and used the piercing element die on. The Bloom Stars have a large glue dot on the back of them so adhere securely to the other stars. Thinking Outside the Box - Using the Vagabond Chips Container - Fun Stampers Journey Products
One of our brand new products this quarter is the Vagabond Chips AC-0354. It contains 45 pieces. There are 9 designs with 5 of each design included.
When I first got the chips (they are chipboard), I was trying to think of ways to use them on cards. Then I started to about the box itself and what I could use it for. It's a little larger than 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 overall in dimension. Each box is about 1 1/4 x 1 1/4. What could I make with it. I knew I wanted to paint it. So I got out my Whip Cream Acrylic Paint and set to work.
If I do it again and plan to let the paint show, I will sand the edges of the container first to give it a smoother appearance. The sponge brush was OK, but I found that I liked using a regular paint brush better for this. It allowed me to get into the corners much easier.
Idea #1: I glued in punched out squares (1 1/4 x 1 1/4 ... that had to be slightly trimmed to fit) of Black Licorice Card Stock. Used our Journey Craft Glue for that. Thought the buttons looked cute. Felt I could add in flowers or others things into the little box areas.
Idea #2: The kid in me came out with this idea. Why not make it a Tic-Tac-Toe Board using our Vagabuttons. Ten buttons would be needed. The Vagabuttons I believe are wood. One side is plain, the other side printed. Makes for a compact playing board, just add some type of drawstring bag for it to be kept in.
Idea #3: Created a travel theme shadow box using one of each design of the chips. I left them plain, but they could be easily colored in with Silks, Splashed, Acrylic Paint, Re-Inkers, or even our Ink Pads. The sky is the limit.
Idea #4 and the design I made permanent (I only had one box to work with): I wanted a cute shadow box that was cheerful, bright, and unique. I think I hit the nail on the head with this one. The Vagabond Chips were colored in with Silks. The flowers were cut out from the Blue Skies Stamp Set and colored in with our Color Burst Pencils. I also coated them with Journey Glaze and Sparkle Cuts. Each one of the Vagabuttons was coated with Sparkle Silk. Then when dried, I added in the twine and/or thread bows.
The Vagabond Chips and Flowers were raised up using Journey Foam Squares. I also used Journey Craft Glue to adhere the buttons in place.
The box was a bit too plain for me, so I added in Gingham Lavender Fusion Ribbon (using White Liner Tape to adhere to the box). Accented the box with ribbons I made and also Rainbow Drops. Ribbons and Rainbow Drops were attached with Glue Dots. Since I had carried the ribbon to the back of the box, I decided to cover it with a square of card stock to give it a finished look. A small hook could be added to it. I had a small wooden easel that I set my shadow box on.

I had never seen them before except in the catalog. Was excited to receive them so that I could share some close up photos with you along with some details.
