True Color Fusion Inks
"Dye Inks are permanent and translucent and have a thin consistency like water so they tend to dry quickly. You can’t color in dye based stamped images with paint, markers, pens or other water-based mediums because the ink will run together. You can, however, use colored pencils. Many dye-based inks are acid-free, however the color fades over time, especially in sunlight. Dye inks have a felt-based stamp pad. Ink pads should be stored upside-down to keep the ink on the surface of the pad. Pigment Inks are opaque and have a thicker, richer consistency than dye-based ink and take longer to dry. Pigment inks are usually brighter and more vibrant and are fade-resistant. They are perfect to use with heat embossing powders to create a glossy effect. Pigment inks have a foam-based stamp pad. Ink pads are usually very juicy so should be stored right side up so you don’t get an inky mess.

True Fusion Color Inks will become permanent when stamped on glass, fabric, wood, plastic, metal and clay when heat set.
Embossing:
Our Whip Cream, Butter Cream and Clear Pigment ink will work for your embossing needs. Our Clear Pigment ink was created especially for embossing. The Whip Cream and Butter Cream ink pads are only pigment inks so they are sticky and take longer to dry. They also look great on our darker colors of cardstock.
Use & Care • Hybrid ink pads should be stored right side up.
• Keeping the lid on your ink pads will assure they stay moist for longer periods of time and will help prevent those moments when you accidentally drop your completed project onto an open ink pad.
• Some of our ink colors will have a stronger smell because of the scent of the pure pigment used to create the rich color. Take the lid off and air out for a few seconds before use and then you will be good to go!
(Mary's Note: The two ink pads I do not own are Lemon Drop and Limeade Splash - these are the two that have stronger odors. I have NOT had any issues with the other ink pads and own all of them.)
Re-Inkers Though you will easily get hundreds of stamped images from your fully inked ink pads, there will come a time when you will want to freshen up and add a bit more ink. All of our ink pad colors have a color matching re-inker which allows you to easily add more ink to the pad and continue stamping.
To re-ink your ink pads, squeeze a few drops of ink onto the ink pad while allowing the tip to spread the ink throughout the entire pad. Squeeze and spread the ink vertically and then horizontally on the ink pad for complete coverage."

I can't take credit for coming up with this great idea for our acrylic paint storage. Thanks goes to Gabby Garay (Co-Founder of Fun Stampers Journey). She posted photos on Facebook this weekend. I was so taken with the idea, I had to do it for my acrylic paints too.
The lime green, white, and orange tote is our Bloom Mini Tote TO-0022 on Page 299 of our main catalog. I currently only own 8 of our acrylic paint colors, so added a bit of bubble wrap in the tote. To store all 16 in totes, it would require 2 of the totes.
The Bloom Mini Totes are great too as a craft trash bin on your work area. They definitely are multi-purpose totes. They are a canvas type material so not rigid, but do stand up on their own.
Each acrylic paint tube matches a Fun Stampers Journey color, so I had card stock that matched each one. Did you know that we currently have 16 acrylic paint covers to choose from. Each tube is 2 ounces.

Summer Pretties Paper Punch Cartridge TO-0007 was perfect for adding a color index flower to the cap/lid of the paint. The medium size flower was adhered to the lid with a bit of Journey Glaze AD-0002 for the 4 oz bottle or AD-0003 for the 2 oz bottle. Don't forget that when you purchased our paper punch cartridges that you need at least one Punch Handle TO-0031.

Seems impossible that I'm thinking of Fall and Thanksgiving cards, but it truly is not that far away. This card could be used as a Thank You card or as a card for Thanksgiving.
While I only used Green Olive and Pumpkin Bread True Color Fusion Inks for my leaves, many other colors and/or blends of colors could of been used. Adding Journey Glaze or Sparkle Dust is possible too. So many choices.
I stamped the wreath image, then stamped seven Green Olive leaves directly on it. I also stamped 7 Green Olive leaves on a separate piece of card stock. The ones on the separate piece I fussy cut out and then adhered on top of the wreath ones using foam squares to give depth and dimension.

The other day I received an amazing and beautiful card in my mail box. I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE receiving "Happy Mail" like this.
This Free Standing Pop Up Card is so unique. I had never seen one before like this. My customer asked to remain anonymous, but gave me permission to share photos of it on my blog, Facebook, etc.

I have never made a card like this before, but if you Google or use YouTube using "Free Standing Pop Up Card", you can see how cards like this are created.
The card actually lays flat in an A2 envelope. Then is popped up to be free standing/stand on its own. My customer layered it with embossed images and typed in a note that truly touched my heart.

Today's video shows you how to create the Reflection (Mirror) Stamping Technique without using the acetate sheet. It uses the Fun Stampers Journey Gel Press!!!!
There are so many uses for the Reflection (Mirror) Stamping Technique, it's not just for reflection in the water. If you have a stamp that you need to reverse (will not work with text) the way it points, this technique would allow that. Another great way is to create two images side by side but the mirror image of themselves. Have fun with it, get creative. The sky is the limit on what you can create.

During the last few days I have been trying new techniques to share with you. Although I have been a card maker "forever", I still have lots to learn and do enjoy the learning process too. There is always something to do or try.
In today's video tutorial I will show you how to create a Reflection (Mirror Image) Stamping Technique using Pan Pastels and Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink from Fun Stampers Journey. If you are reading my blog via e-mail, the direct link to the video is: https://youtu.be/QlNTGdmkObY
NOTE: In the video I mention the one PanPastel with a lid. There is a reason for the lid (along with making it easier to remove the PanPastel container. Each PanPastel will screw into the other allowing you to stack them then place a lid on top! Perfect for taking to a crop if you just want a couple of colors. I like being able to see all of my colors at once, so always leave mine in the clear palette they came in.
Here are the photos of my finished cards ... the background one I created in the video was turned into a card. Instead making a frame with the Rectangle Dies to outline it on the card base, I used our Licorice Sparkle Tape securing each corner that overlapped with a couple of drops of Journey Craft Glue. Sparkle Tape will not properly adhere to itself because of the texture ... will adhere well though to the card stock.

I had a customer ask me last night about the photos of the stamps sets in the Fun Stampers Journey catalogs. I took some photos to share with her, but then decided it would be worthwhile to share them here on my blog too.
Almost all of the stamp set images are true to size. There are a few exceptions: Background stamps (pages 208 through 219 - and other places in the catalog) are not true to size. For those there is a magnified image in the upper right corner. The ATS (Artist Trading Stamps) Index images (pages 330 and 331) are not true to size. With each index image, there is a page listed for that specific stamp/stamp set so that you can view size.

Here are the cards I made using the Pop Art August 2017 Bloom Box four kitted cards and the Pop Art Stamp Set that came with the Bloom Box.
When you are making the cards, it comes with suggested ideas and directions. Please realize you can switch them out to use the inks you have on hand or to add sentiments you need for a specific occasion.
Directions only used 1 of the arrows, I used all 3 in the package.
Denim Blue used instead of Huckleberry Fusion for the blue ink.
Richards showed how to create this card to give a
3D effect. It bothered my eyes, so I did normal stamping on this card plus added
in the Summer Fun Sparkles.
This card, I created into my own look.
Used the Happy Sentiments Stamp Set SS-0304 and
added Journey Glaze and Sparkle Cuts to the stars.

Here is one of the creations I made with this bundle ... so pleased with the results.
I did a close up of the mermaid tails to show you the sparkle and shine achieved with Journey Glaze AD-0002 and Sparkle Cuts AC-0151.
The mermaids were colored in using the Journey Color Burst Pencils JM-0077. There are 48 pure color pencils in the metal tin. Then I covered the tails and the top with Journey Glaze and the Sparkle Cuts. Allowed to completely dry before attaching to my card front.
The card background was created with our True Color Fusion Inks (which are on sale this month for 20% off) and a dauber dowel (small) TO-0137. I mixed in shades of blue, green, and orange with the dauber dowel to achieve this background water look.
For additional accents, I used Journey Sequins Blue Skies AC-0113 attaching each one with a drop of Journey Craft Glue AD-0111.
Sentiment is from the Embroidered Greetings Stamp Set SS-0507 set of 8 Stamps.
