Be Amazing Printed Paper, Amazing Hearts & Word Block Stamps Set from Fun Stampers Journey

This blog post will be a bit photo intensive, but I wanted to share the beautiful pages in the Be Amazing Printed Paper Package.    This is a card I made with the printed paper.   I made it the focal point of the card.   Quick and easy.

My upline, Janice Whiting, had a birthday drawing a couple weeks ago.  I was one of the lucky winners.    She sent me the package of Be Amazing Printed Paper and the Amazing Hearts Stamp Set.  What a great suprise, and I didn't have either item.   The Amazing Hearts Stamp Set is a background stamp. 

The Be Amazing Printed Paper package contains 24 sheets of 12" x 12" sheets.  There are 4 each of two-sided designs.     The following photos are showing your the front & back of the sheet.   The colors are neon and vibrant.   So fun to work with.

The left side one is the one I used for my card.  

Just cut it down to the size I needed.

Fun Stampers Journey Press Punch And Cutting Mat - Video

I have used the Press Punch and Cutting Mat for quite a while now.   It is easy to use and allows me to punch anywhere on the card stock that I want.   Imagine being able to punch a hole in the very center of a 12" x 12" scrapbook page.

Embossing a Cut Image Using Journey Blooms Holiday Set of Dies

Did you realize that some of the Fun Stampers Journey Dies can also be used for embossing?  Look at the cutting part/edge of the die.  If there is extra metal inside the cutting edge, the die is embossable.

NOTE:   This is a photo intensive blog post.   It includes photos of how to do the embossing too.

Here's an example of a set that once cut, is perfect to use the die to emboss too.   Makes a huge difference in the details shown on your cut image.

Sandwich of how to do the embossing.

You leave the cardstock in the die AFTER cutting it out, and 

then place cut side up directly on the magnetic platform.

NO Cutting Plates Used

Here's the bat after being cut out.

Cutting side facing up.

Then I will put the Tan Embossing Mat on top.

Then the Green Embossing Plate on top of that.

It's already to run through the Journey Platinum Machine.  

Directions - Tutorial:

Each die was cut out the usual way using my  Journey Platinum Machine.

   1.  Magnetic Platform

   2.  Cutting Plate

   3.  Card Stock  

   4.  Die cut side facing down

   5.  Cutting Plate 

I removed the outer cardstock that was not part of the design.

Be sure to leave the cut image inside of the die.

To emboss the cut image, I used these steps with my Journey Platinum Machine:
  1.  Magnetic Platform
  2.  Die with card stock still attached (cut side up)
  3.  Tan Embossing Mat
  4.  Green Embossing Plate
       (these steps match the photo shown earlier in this blog post).

Wanted to show you a closer view of the bat.

The embossing really adds to the design of your cut image.  If I had not embossed these, so many of the designs would of been lost.   The embossing gives each design a much more finished look.

Try this with some of our other dies.   I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how many can not only be cut, but be embossed too using the die itself.

Harvest Stamp Set, Artful Burst Dies And Pocket Cuts DiesShowcased Today

Fun Stampers Journey has so many wonderful stamps and dies to choose from.   Sometimes I have a hard time choosing which ones to use.   This month a group I belong to had a Fall themed challenge.   So this is my entry for the challenge.

These are my starting pices.   I used the Journey Color Splash Pencils to watercolor the Harvest stamped image.   Then using the Pocket Cuts Die, I cut the rectangle shape out and added in some stitch like lines/designs. 

So that I had a perfect match to the card front design, I used the border die of the Artful Burst Die Set on Citrus Cooler Card Stock.  The card base is Pumpkin Bread Card Stock and the design was die cut directly into the base using the Artful Burst Die Set.

Colors are off on the photo, not sure why.    But this shows the Citrus Cooler piece backing the Pumpkin Bread card base.   I used Journey Craft Glue to adhere the pieces together.   The Craft Glue has a small tip so I ran glue around the border of the back of the design and on numerous areas of the design too.   Then laid the Citrus Cooler piece on top and allowed to dry.

This is a closer view to show you the pretty designs from the Pocket Cuts Dies up close.

Here is my finished card.  I attached the Harvest stamped image to the card using Journey Foam Squares.   I will stamp a sentiment inside.

Layered Leaves Die Backed With Confectionary Prints Paper

This is my first time using the Layered Leaves Die from Fun Stampers Journey.  It is a die that fill fit the front of an A2 card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4") so is perfect as a card front.    I combined it with The Confectionary Prints Paper as a couple of the pieces had an ombre effect to them.   Thought it looked great behind the leaves.

This is with a blue ombre background.

This is with a more pink ombre background.

The backgrounds were both cut from the same sheet of paper. 

I decided on the more pink background for this card.
Craft glue works very well on these cut out images especially on the fine lines.
