So much fun to make Valentine cards. This one used embossing folders, silks, thread, sponging, and dies. I wanted to step the card up a bit, and I think I accomplished my goal.
The butterflies are Cork Flutter AC-0273 which is a Bloom Benefit. The pack is 8 pieces ... 2 large and 6 small cork butterflies. The are cork color in the package and are self-adhesive. I decided to paint them with Journey Silks to change the color. The Silks have an applicator brush similar to a nail polish brush. I painted them about 3 times each as the cork absorbs some of the color. They have lots of shine when the light hits them. Remember to let them dry. I painted them once they were on the card, but I had to be extra careful doing it that way. Much easier to paint them on the clear sheet they are mounted on when you open them up.
I embossed a piece of Bubble Gum card stock using the Petals Wall Embossing Folder. Then I sponged it with Candy Apple Ink. Also put a layer of the Bumble Gum card stock inside the card for a handwritten note.
The heart was die cut in my Journey Platinum Machine TO-0090 using the Heart Felt Die Set.
I wrapped Bumble Gum Thread around the card a few times, and tied a bow.
